Project Overview

The Challenge

Since the start of the shut-down due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the rate of pet adoptions has drastically increased. While people are still stuck at home and unable to dine-in or grab a beer at their local brewery, now is the best time to design a product that pet-owners can use to find pet-friendly locations when safe to do so.

The Goal

Create a product that can be a resource for pet-owners to discover pet-friendly locations in an easy-to-use and enjoyable application.


Competitive Analysis

Even though I was on a tight timeline, I still wanted to allocate time to analyze a couple competitors in the market. This is a must-do task when I am crafting my problem statement.

My goal is to get a better understanding of the competitors my users could be using for my service and discover any potential opportunities that my competitors could be missing or under-utilizing.

Due to the lack of research time, I chose two competitors to focus my analysis on.



During this analysis, I focused on the UX takeaway to make the most of my designated research time.
