While there are plenty of match-making platforms for users to find a therapist, we found that not many, if any, companies prioritized the success-rate of their match-making algorithm over number of subscriptions sold or money made from clients. We wanted to differentiate ourselves by creating a top-of-the-line-matchmaking platform where clients could be confident that they would be matched with the perfect therapist for them.
Matcha already had a website up and running that our co-founder made on Squarespace, but there was a lot of improvements we could make to better the user experience, both on the client and therapist side.

When I came on to this project, I started out as a volunteer UX Consultant, then was brought on as a part-time contract designer until I was eventually hired on as their full-time Lead Designer.
Our process was the following:
Create a matchmaking platform that accurately and efficiently matched clients to therapists in a non-threatening, positive, and inclusive environment
Before I was brought on as the designer, my role with Matcha was acting as their UX Consultant.
